We are all broken in some way, yet we can still all carry flowers.

Strange thing happened as i was walking down the Goa beach today.. walking and meditating!! the tide had moved back and a few crabs were trying to stay alive and get back into the water carrying their shells I helped one cover the distance by throwing him and his little house the shell back into the water i saw....
Then few steps back i saw a golden shell pretty much the same as the one a had thrown into the water It was shining i approached and saw it was a glass shell rsomething a tried to move
It was heavy slowly removing it from the sand a laughing Buddha appeared with this shell in his waist ..
I wondered who might have thrown him in the sea and why only to discover that his hands were broken I decided to take him with me and put flowers in his broken arms to cover the wounds and decorate him more.
In fact it is a laughing Buddha for saving money!! if i am not mistaken who knows why it was thrown in the water and it came from China it has Chinese letters on him!!
And then Hans said The Buddha has come to say hello to you today. The image of putting flowers in the broken arms of the Buddha reminds me that half of the spiritual path is about bringing beauty and kindness to the world, even if one's hands are broken
We are all broken in some way, yet we can still all carry flowers. The Buddha said that the path has 4 facets. In the inner subjective realms we are to see through the illusion of separateness and 'get over' our selves and the world. in the outer world we are to better ourselves and the world.
